FEATURED COMPOSER:

Lawrence Ricks

Lawrence Ricks

Lawrence Ricks is a talented musician, composer, and music producer. He was born and raised in Staten Island, New York (yes, where the Wu-Tang Clan is from!) and now resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife.

Lawrence is part of a creative family and always knew music would be something he would do. He began playing drums at age 7; started piano lessons at age 12; sharpened his piano-playing skills in school jazz band; and is now the main keyboard player at the Tampa, FL church his parents started where he and his sister write songs together. He has also created beats for his older brother who is a gospel rapper.

Becoming a music producer seemed like a natural thing for Lawrence. As a teenager he watched his father Joseph, who can sing and play the saxophone, piano, and drums, create his own album in which he wrote and sang all the songs and produced all the music.

Lawrence has been making production music for over 10 years and can be heard on shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Black Ink Crew, Marriage Bootcamp, Family or Fiancé, and many more.

Lawrence says, “I’m a guy that loves to make people laugh, especially my wife! I like to think if there’s something I can do to put someone in a better mood then I’m all for it. I’m all about positivity!”
